Regulations for the
“INTERNATIONAL AWARD OF AEROPHILATELY FERNANDO CORSARI”
Third Edition 2006


To develop and promote interest, study and knowledge of aerophilately and aero-postal history the Italphil S.r.l. has founded the “International Award of Aerophilately Fernando Corsari” dedicated to the well-known student of this subject, both for the class of literature and of collections.

1) The award will be given every year to a person who has actively contributed in complying with the purpose of the award, with publications or collections which have been exhibited in the class for aerophilately and aero-postal history.
2) To carry on with the organization of this award a Secretariat and a Jury have been instituted. The Secretariat in made up of a member appointed by the Italphil. The Jury is made up of Mr Giangiacomo Orlandini, an expert for aerophilately and a personal friend of Fernando Corsari, who is a permanent member, and of four members appointed every year by the Italphil with the opinion of the Italian Association of Aerophilately (AIDA).
In case Jury and Secretariat are not appointed within thirty days from the date of submission of exhibits they are the same of the previous year.
3) The seat of Jury and Secretariat of the award are in Rome, Piazza Mignanelli 3 (tel. 06 6787617 – 06 69940468, fax 06 6794045 – website: www.italphil.org, e-mail: info@italphil.org at the premises of the Italphil.
4) Literature published from 1st April 2005 to 30ty May 2006 must be sent to the Secretariat by 15th June 2006 in two copies at the expense of the sender with the indication of the date of publication along with a letter exempting the Italphil from any obligation concerning custody, keeping and care of the exhibits. The publications submitted will not be returned. If the work has been published under a pseudonym, the author must declare it in writing.
5) Collectors who wish to enter the competition in the class of collections must exhibit them at their own expense. Photocopies of these collections, exhibited from 1st April 2005 to 30ty May 2006, are to be sent in two copies to the Secretariat by 15th June 2006, at the expense of the exhibitor, with the indication of date and place of the exhibition, along with a letter exempting the Italphil from any obligation concerning custody, keeping and care of the exhibits. The Italphil does not assume any responsibility concerning the exhibition of collections and in general custody, keeping and care of them.
6) The Jury will judge publications and collections according to the above mentioned rules and will award a prize for each class, i.e. a silver object and a plate, according to his final judgement through a simple majority of voting (50% + one of the jury members).
7) Members of the Secretariat and of the Jury cannot enter the competition.
8) Winners of the previous years cannot enter the competition in the same class.
9) The award is to be collected by the winner personally except in case of force majeure.
10) Competitors, organizers jury and secretariat of the Award are not paid.
11) In entering the competition the exhibitor accepts these regulations without any claim from organizers, jury and secretariat.


The 2006 Jury of the “International Award of Aerophilately Fernando Corsari” is made up of Messrs: Giangiacomo Orlandini (permanent member), Danilo Bogoni, Stefano Cosenz, Costantino Gironi, Vito Salierno.
The Secretariat of “International Award of Aerophilately Fernando Corsari” is Mrs Angela Garavello.
